An accredited telehealth therapy program designed to help individuals cope with perinatal mental health challenges.
Facing challenges with perinatal mental health can be one of the most overwhelming experiences during parenthood. Whether you’re grappling with pre- or postpartum anxiety, depression, mood swings, or feelings of isolation, it’s natural to feel unprepared and scared. But you’re not alone in this journey.
Our perinatal mental health program is designed to help you understand your emotions, learn effective coping strategies, connect with others facing similar challenges, and discover ways to embrace this phase of life with strength and resilience.
Our virtual support programs takes an integrated approach to helping individuals navigate difficult experiences in a healthy manner. Perinatal therapy addresses the emotions and symptoms linked with giving birth, and teaches individuals how to move through the healing process. With the support of our multidisciplinary clinical team, you will learn how to recover from perinatal mental health so you can focus on what’s important – your new baby.
Many employees are eligible to take a medical leave for perinatal mental health. If you or a loved one is struggling with pre- or postpartum mental health, Clear Behavioral Health can help. Upon admission, all clients are assessed for medical leave or disability eligibility. Medical notes are provided for those who qualify.
The decision of whether to take a leave of absence is a personal choice that you have to think about. We recommend it, especially if your condition is getting in the way of performing your job, however, it is not an option for everybody. For those who may already be on maternity leave, there is an option to extend it further for the duration of treatment. Call us for more information on extending maternity leave.
Whether or not you take time off work, a doctor will often recommend that you be admitted into an outpatient therapy treatment program to maintain your leave for the duration of treatment. You will learn how to identify triggers, incorporate mindfulness-based practices into your routine, recognize unhealthy thoughts and behaviors, and learn coping skills and strategies so you are ready to integrate back into the workforce.
It’s important that you are healthy so that you can perform at your best, and that means both physically and mentally. If you feel yourself struggling with your emotions, consider taking a medical leave and intensive treatment.
We understand that, as working professionals, confidentiality is of the utmost importance. Our staff is expertly trained to prevent any disclosure of information related to treatment without consent and full release by the client. Employers and certifying boards may ask about mental illness, but as a treatment center we are under no obligation to report anything unless illness severely impairs one’s ability to work.
